Aunt Karrie & Uncle Jake Come to Visit

Aunt Karrie and Jake came to visit us this weekend. We had so much fun hanging out and playing with them. Friday Aunt Karrie watched you while Mommy went to work and Daddy went to Beaumont to go fishing. Aunt Karrie and Jake brought Weston up to my work so you he meet some of the people Mommy worked with.  He got to meet Stella, Susie, & Tamara and see Bryan, Danny, Leigh, Steve, & Juliette again. After I got off work we went to eat yummy Mexican food at Maudies. Saturday  afternoon we packed up and headed to the Austin Zoo, which was very different than any other zoo we had been to but it was really cool. This was Weston's first trip to the zoo but it was so hot outside that he napped most of the time in his stroller with a cold rag on his head. Jake loved looking at all of the animals and I know Weston will too once he gets a little older. We got to feed some goats and saw some big cats and the biggest pig ever. Once we got home we got in the pool and Weston seemed to like it much more than the lake. Jake kept making him laugh by singing “I like big butts…ta ta ta ta” Weston thought that was the funniest thing and just giggled and giggled at him. The whole weekend Jake wanted to go on a walk and push Weston in the stroller while I walked Camo so we did that Sunday morning. We had so much fun with Jake and Aunt Karrie!!

5 Months!!

Can't believe how fast the time is flying by! Weston is learning and doing so much fun stuff right now and Sam and I have so much fun with him. He rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time on the 4th of July and now he is a rolling machine...anytime we try to put him on his tummy for tummy time he rolls right over to his back. He ate from a spoon in his high chair for the first time last night and it was the cutest thing ever. He seemed to love the cereal and really loved chewing on the spoon. He also has a new found love of his jumper that hangs from the doorway. We put him in it yesterday evening and he was going to town...river dancing all over the place..Sam took some video that I will attempt to post soon. He is such a smiley boy and loves to flirt with the ladies...he also loves to talk aka growl at anyone who will listen:). He still loves his bath time and bjorn. We are pretty sure he is teething because he loves to chew on anything he can get in his mouth.

4th of July Party at Grandpa and Grandma Mary's House

We had several 4th of July events this year and they were all a blast! Friday after I got off work GiGi, Uncle Steve & Aunt Tricia watched Weston while Sam and I went on a little sushi date :). Saturday a.m. we woke up super early (Weston decided he was ready to wake up for the day at around 4 a.m.) packed up the car and headed to Tomball for my Dad and Mary's 4th of July Party. Grandpa and Weston had so much fun hanging out once we got there. Karrie and Jake came to visit and swim for a little bit and Weston got lots of Aunt Karrie hugs and kisses. We decided to give the pool a shot and Weston didn't seem to hate it like he did the lake...once the water got past his belly button he was a happy camper and he loved watching Jake splash and swim around. Once the party started Weston was getting lots of attention from all of the ladies..."Grandma" Charlotte especially. We played wiffle ball, horseshoes, water volleyball, and everyone had a great time! Weston also got to meet his Uncle Jason, Aunt Deanna, & Christopher for the first time but I forgot to take pictures. With all of the excitement going on Weston did not want to take any naps so when 7pm rolled around he was super tired and slept all through the night until 7 a.m. the next morning, Sam and I were very happy about that. We hung out with Grandpa and Grandma Mary's Sunday morning and then headed back to Austin and spent the evening relaxing. What a great way to spend the weekend...We can't wait to go back and visit everyone again!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July this year. Weston got dressed in his most patriotic outfit and was so happy to celebrate America! His GiGi, Great Aunt Paige, & Great Uncle Brian came over to visit in the morning...Aunt Paige always knows how to make Weston giggle. Then we got on our swim suits and headed to the Lake with David and Leah. We went to Uncle Randy and Aunt Peggy's boat/boat dock and had a great time relaxing and swimming. Weston was not a big fan of his life jacket or the cold water but he did'nt mind hanging out on the boat at all. After the lake we had dinner at Peggy and Randy's with the family.
